The dad obviously doesn't want his kid exposed to hair gel abuse.

UK might as well be like an overseas team. Kids can just go there a year, then they are eligible for the NBA. Whats the point in being a college athletic program anyway, I doubt Wall, Cousins, Orton, Bledsoe, or Knight even stepped foot in a classroom the spring semester.

The way Cal runs a program is the definition of what is wrong with college hoops. Kids dont care about winning a national title or even the program anymore, they just use college as a brief 1 year stepping stone to get to their fatass paychecks.

Wall and Knight both had a 4.0 in the spring, and the rest were above 2.6. Only Orton bailed after the fall semester.

How do those sour grapes taste?

Ask Knight, Wall, Cousins, Patterson, et. al if they cared about the national title. Pretty sure if they didn't care they would have mailed it in.

If u had a coach that could recruit/develop NBA type talent then u could say the same about your school, or any other in the country. And if I'm not mistaken, a few of those guys u mentioned, that left early have already registered for classes this fall.

26 years...

Weak.

I'll take your point that Athletes dont care about academics as much as they should...but, Knight should be left out. He has been a great kid all through school.

Other than that...

Then change the rules so kids can go directly from high school to the pros. The NBA should not force kids to go to college for three months.

Should be three years imo. FB and BB should be the same. Ncaa needs to talk with the pro leagues and change it.

I think it should be like the major leagues. If you're good enough out of high school, go. Kobe, Lebron, any of them were good enough. But once you commit to school you're there three years.
