4 team fouls against Kentucky with only 1:24 to play in a 5 point game.Kentucky has had around 20 free throw attempts.South Carolina has has no intentional fouls against them either.I don't think Kentucky will ever lose at home again.13 seconds to go, South Carolina finally intentionally fouls Kentucky.South Carolina led most of the game.Good job Kentucky.

Why would Kentucky have more than 4 team fouls? South Carolina attacks the basket about as often as Rosie O'Donnell passes up a buffet.

Watched the second half of that game, and I saw some pretty crappy officiating, but bad calls going both ways. (there was a phenomenally bad no call on the world's most obvious travel that SC got away with when the outcome was still in doubt, with maybe 2 minutes to go, for example.)

UK was the better team, and deserved to win, although if they had played that game against UT, we would have won by double digits.

You're not still stinging from the other night are ya? You still have the best team in conference. Besides, if you really want to be entertained by bad officiating, watch Varnardo play a Mississippi State home game. :peace2:

We wouldn't get that kind of (lack of) effort from UK because they know we're better than that. They spilled their guts to beat us, and their next game is on the road at Jawja, a much better team than USC, and they're going to have to leave it all on the court to have a chance there too.

This is the same thing that happened when we had UNC-Asheville in between a bunch of good teams and didn't look very good. You do what it takes to win the "easy" game (although UNCA isn't really a cupcake, as it's turned out) and save your energy for the quality opponent that comes next.

UK gets every call in the book at Rupp Arena.
Rumor has it, Bruce Pearl was protesting a call at Rupp the other night when the ref put his hand on Pearl's chest and said, "Now Coach, you're just mad 'cause we're winning." :birgits_giggle:

It's amazing how much mouth UK fans have b/c they win a game at home after losing in the same season to San Diego and Gardner Webb. I believe I'd just keep my mouth shut until my team did something more than beat a team at home they always beat at home.

You're scared to death of Kentucky! You shake at the thoughts of entering the hallowed hall of college basketball known as Rupp Arena.

Seriously though, this team isn't the same team that lost those early season games. Jasper and Meeks give them an entirely different look. They may get beat down the road, but they won't get out worked, they won't get out hustled. That's Billy G style.

The Vols gonna beat em by 20 at TBA. Kentucky got lucky with our schedule, 3 games in 6 days.

Dude, you want to complain about the schedule? UK played 3 games in about the same amount of time, including one on the road at Gainesville, and a double over-timer. This is the SEC. Bring it every game, take nothing for granted.

I'm glad to see UK finally getting things together. I'm pissed that Billy G didn't have them ready to play the early non-conf schedule. They really are better than their record, but that doesn't excuse the stupid losses.

Once again, just pointing out that you run your yap b/c you beat us at home, like you always do, yet you lost to GW and SD. It's just one of those things, if UT had the tradition of excellence that UK had, and we lost the same kinda games, I wouldn't be spouting off so much after a W I have gotten almost every season for the last 50 years.

I agree that anyone blaming UT's loss at KY solely on the schedule is mistaken. KY outplayed us, plain and simple.

That said, 3 games in 8 days is very different than 3 games in 6 days.
