Considering Duke is a private school whose seating capacity is below 10,000, yet leads the nation in revenue generated (apparel and collectibles) by college basketball programs, I'd say you're a little off in that assessment.

But I get the point you are trying to make, however flawed the attempt may have been.

Honestly, I don't think UK has all that many bandwagon fans. Dook and UNC are much more attractive programs to bandwagoneers looking to hitch a ride. UK would probably be more of a culprit for fair-weather fans.

If you're referencing the 2011 Memphis Business Journal article you should know for the merchandise to count towards basketball merchandise revenue it has to say "X University Basketball". Most of UK's merchandise only says Kentucky.

The number 2 on the list is Louisville…you’re from Kentucky – do you really think UK basketball sells less merchandise than Louisville?
