Hey guys I'm coming to the game in Lexington on Halloween. Any tips for parking, what to see, where to eat, how busy it's gonna be...

TIA. :hi:

Normally I'd suggest Keeneland pre game but it's Breeders Cup so that's out. As for parking there is a lot available cheaply if you're willing to walk - across Nichlosville road and down Waller spots can be had for 10 bucks. If you want a lot pass they are floating around stubhub for 200ish and up. Worth it only if you have a gang of folks and you want to tailgate all day IMO.

Just a general note, because of the Breeders Cup the city will be a pain to navigate - leave plenty of time to get where you need to go.

As for where to eat/drink I am a fan of the Two Keys / Tolly-Ho combo...if you're looking for something a little more grown up try Joe B's pizza on Maxwell or Ramsey's...2 of my favorite spots.

Enjoy the game, stadium has been renovated and looks great - should be a good time.

I just realized I'm off instead of working. I'd like to go with my buddy back home, but not sure I'll make it now.

Does Keeneland have an infield? to watch the races, beautiful horses and fast women.

You can't watch from the inner circle of the track like at Churchill but there is the paddock area where you can see the horses/people before each race. Then there is general admission grandstand area which is right up against the rails. They have a few benches scattered around but it's mostly standing room only. Then they have several different seat/box options that are up higher and a bit farther away.

It's all pretty reasonably priced usually as they make their money off the betting takeout, thoroughbred sales, and the overpriced concessions :)

As mentioned above though, on this day is a special event (Breeder's cup) so it will be expensive and packed.

Go to Cheapside the night before and get schnockered and lose your rental car, then climb into a van full of college kids instead of your cab and end up lost on campus. That's what I did. It was awesome.

Pazzo's pizza is good I really like their calzones and their beer selection is 2nd to none

Thread derail: Hardwood have you checked out any WKU games this year? These boys are a blast to watch.

Yeah every home game so far, it's a special year and environment for the tops this year. We're looking at maybe 3 draft picks. I expect Brohm to be gone, however.

I made it to the Vandy and La Tech games and will be back for HC. Petrino needs to turn things around cause that's one job that Brohm won't hesitate on if called. I'm holding out hope he loves KY enough that he's willing to stay around unless/until UofL or UK open up. Though he'd probably be disowned if he went to Lexington.

They haven't missed a beat since Allen went down, which is surprising yet great to see. Higbee could wind up being a huge blow. My parents are in Baton Rouge this weekend, I think LSU will get a better game than they expect.

We could be related. :)

That sounds about like how my road trips go.

LSU will rush for 1100 yards in the game, they will blast our D line off the line. but I do see us putting up some points. Score may not be a big time blow out, but WKU will likely put up several points in mop up time against back ups. But I hope like hell they bring it.

It sucks for WKU in both hoops and football because in the type of conference we are in, we have all the resources needed to succeed, but not the name/brand power. We're the hot 7 with a good up bringing and morals, but boring, so they leave for the 10 who's bat sheet crazy and ends up dumping them like a Louisville recruiting hoe.
