Dobbs must regain some degree of confidene

I have always been very hesitant to play a true freshmen at QB especially against an awful schedule because it often times sets their development back.

JW was ruined for over 2 seasons due to having to play early and was just coming out of the funk before he got hurt.

Petermans confidence is crushed very likely.

Dobbs is a shell of when we first saw him. His pocket presence is awful and he is clearly rattled.

We need Dobbs to be a factor in the QB competition in the spring and I firmly believe he can be a great QB for us but he doesn't need a complete off season with this taste in his mouth IMO.

I have always felt Fergy was the QB of the future but having dobbs as a viable option is very important.

Saturday night is HUGE for Joshua Dobbs!!

I must be blind because I am still failing to see what many are seeing to make them think Dobbs will be great. Just being honest.

The Kentucky game means nothing at this point. The Season is/was a failure. Losing/winning in Lexington will not change that fact.

If I'm not mistaken, Tennessee is the only football program on the country that has never lost 8 games in a season. Maintaining that claim is a pretty big reason to fight hard for the win. I hope the guys come out with pride-fueled anger and play hard and win.

This game means nothing.

Confidence is not built in this game to last into next year.

This will be the Ho-Hum Bowl.

OK. So we are 1 of 2 programs that can make the claim. I'd personally like to keep it that way.

Also, no matter how angry I was last night, or after any of our losses, I still find myself completely wrapped up in the next game and wanting a win. The Kentucky game matters to me, I hope it does to the players.

he was hand picked by the greatest coaching staff in america to run their version of the read option. ergo, he must be a great QB.

pay attention.

Wake up!!!!! The season is over!!!! Next year Jones needs to show some improvement for the 3.3 million dollars he is being paid! Ohio State was in the gutter till Urban Myers rode into town! It's all about the coach!

Dobbs will be 3rd string next year-he has a noodle arm, just not enough velocity to be an sec qb. Probably the reason we were the only school in the sec to recruit him. Personally next year after the redshirt for fergusen the starter will be worley 60%/ fergusen 40%...

Did anybody hear catch the things trent dilfer said about fergusen at his elite 11 qb camp last summer? Even though fergusen had a broken thumb at the camp.
Someone should find it on you tube and post it.

Blindness is not your problem if you think you can tell whether a QB will be great based off of playing as a true freshman against murderer's row with questionable skill postion talent surrounding you.

Wtf does that have to do anything?
Are you attempting to imply that my opinions are racially motivated?

While watching the game threads, to include last night, every time Smith dropped a pass, saw numerious comments "White boy can't catch", but god forbid if people honestly, without using color, critique Dobbs' performance. It's a lefty thang.
