If Dooley was fired today or tomorrow would it be in the best interest of the program for him to be at the Kentucky game. Chances are what Vol fans that do show will most likely boo him off of the field. Let the team play their last season game on their terms. If anyone learned anything last night it is this team has made it clear that they do not want Dooley. I bet if he is not there it will be totally different team.

I honestly think if they would have fired him after the USCe game we may have won out and the fanbase would not be ready to kill someone.

Hart could have prevented this with just a simple announcement. All he had to do was say that Dooley wouldn't be retained after this year or at the very least said he would evaluate him at the end of the year.

I think his silence has done far more harm to not only the fans, but the players as well.

I completely agree with you. I get one of the explanations that I heard about Hart is wanting the focus to be on the team and not on the coaching search but it has gotten out of hand now and just a little info could have quelled that instead they want to treat everybody like mushrooms (keep us in the dark and feed us $%^&)

I think we should let Dooley go with class and promptly remove him for good. He seems to be counterproductive to the team's motivation and success, and he has had public issues with Bray and Hunter. IMO, we need to win this very winnable game for the seniors, who have endured the worst era ever here, and the team would perform just as well, if not better, with an interim coach. The Dooley Era needs to end today. With class but clearly, unmistakably done.
