Kentucky should thank Tennessee

I saw post that Kentucky will probably make the NCAA tournament. I heard our game was a make or break game for Kentucky. They need to thank Tennessee for getting them in the tournament, especially since they have not be that good this season.

Tennessee basketball doesn’t have a tradition of winning SEC championships or winning SEC tournaments. Lord knows it doesn’t have a tradition of winning in the NCAA but it is the only SEC program with close to a winning record AT HOME vs Kentucky (barely below .500 now) and that was blown this year. I hope this team can find a way to get back on track cause I really like these players but it’s up to a March run solely now. Jmo

Do we also get to thank them for relegating us to a 3/4 seed? Although, this year, more than any other year, seeding will be nuts. You could argue that anyone ranked 7-20 is fair game. Teams like UConn, Creighton and Providence (18, 19, 20), could just as well give someone fits as TX or Baylor. All going to be about matchups and who's hot...but guess that's always the case.

Yeah, without the two wins against Tennessee,they're in trouble and looking possibly at heading to the NIT. The loss to a bad South Carolina team at home being the biggest thing that was counting against them.

Are the Vols good then? Kentucky beat Tennessee twice, at home and away. If Kentucky isn’t any good, then the Vols are at least the same, right?

No, Tennessee should kick themselves for making a hated rivals season. Two chances to put a final nail in the coffin and they blew it. Poetic justice if somehow they put UK in our NCAA bracket somewhere and UK sends our asses home.

I like this team but they peaked too early and will not make the sweet 16 if they get in the "wrong" bracket.
