“They're coming here to practice?” asked UofL senior guard Jerry Smith. “They're not even playing (us) here this year. It's crazy. I don't understand the point. It's crazy.”

Let me take a stab at it. Even on Oct.29, Calipari understands that Jan.2 (the day UofL visits Rupp Arena) is a special day on Planet Wildcat. He was brought to Lexington to push Rick Pitino's program into the shadows. Heck, he was brought to Lexington to push North Carolina, Kansas, Michigan State and the rest of college basketball into the shadows.
Calipari enjoys a good rivalry. This one had gotten somewhat stale during the Tubby Smith and Billy Gillispie eras. Don't call it stale today.

Talk about throwing jabs. Of course UK will end up playing other games in Freedom Hall this year besides Louisville, but using that as an excuse would be niave.

Its on.

Cal is a tool.

He's doing basically doing the same thing that he was complaining about Pearl doing.

Wonder what he would have done if Pearl scheduled practice at FedEx Forum?

Perhaps bring pizza to all the fans outside, and then kiss babies and such. Seems to work. lol

Nice Counter Punch! haha.

However, If Cal did deliver Pizza or kiss babies, he would later state "I have no such knowledge of these events. It was Papa John's and the Daycare's fault!"

Since the Forum, like Freedom Hall, is not owned by the school, I would assume he would have done exactly what Pitino will do: nothing of substance.

UPDATE: practice has been canceled. UL officials raised hell with the Freedom Hall folks and they canceled the contract. :)

In other Kentucky news, UK whiffed on power forward Adriene Payne, who chose Michigan State. Joyful Joyful.

Or, according to Hardwood's post, he would whine and cry to get his way. Like Pitino and Co did.
