Georgia is a much better team than USC. I've had USC circled in the schedule as our best chance for an upset. I think we will see a game like today.

Clowney is considered the top prospect in April's NFL draft. He pulled himself out of the Gamecocks' 35-28 victory over Kentucky a short time before kickoff, telling Spurrier he was in too much pain to play. Spurrier said he didn't want anyone in pain to get on the field.

Asked about Clowney's commitment to the Gamecocks, Spurrier said, ''You'll have to ask him that.''

South Carolina's D is so much worse this year. The offense is better but it's not good enough to override their D against a good opponent.

FWIW the bogus 12 men on the field call late in the game was big. Without it, USC doesn't get a 1st down and has to punt to UK with 2 minutes to play.

SEC Head of officials Steve Shaw admitted it was a mistake this morning- there were indeed only 11.

Feel your pain but you have to understand you had a chance to upset an SEC contender. Slive can't have that you know.
