Florida is going to lose a lot of games with CBN if he doesn't value field position more. Did not display good judgment. He made 2 stupid calls and got lucky that only one led to points. The first 4th down attempt was more egregious in my opinion cause there was 7-8 min left and you could’ve really flipped the field.
Splat.
That’s me (us) crashing back down to earth.
For as pleased and pleasantly surprised as I was post-Utah, this was equally disappointing.
I’ve never seen AR play so poorly. Hell, I don’t think Ive see ANY UF QB play so poorly. I’ve never seen AR missing wide open guys so wildly. Something wasn’t right tonight. And I don’t understand why there were so few designed runs for him.
At any rate, this team is what I thought they were, despite having my expectations raised by a great win week 1. This is a 7-5 team, absolute ceiling of 8 wins, could also see 5-6 wins. I think we beat Mizzou, Vandy, the two directional teams, that gets us to 5 wins. Then need to pull out a couple more between SC, FSU, LSU. I see hardly any way at all this team wins in Knoxville. It’ll be UF’s first road trip with the new staff, UF got banged up (Ventrell Miller limped off and went to locker room, starting RT Tarquin limped off) and I’m not sure of others. If TN doesn’t beat UF this year, I’d be shocked.
Meh.Florida’s remaining schedule as I see it right now:
So FL - Win
Tenn - Loss
East Wash - Win
Mizzou - Win
LSU - Win
Ga - Loss
aTm - Loss
SC - Win
Vandy - Win
FSU - Win
This would be 8-4 overall and I’d take this all day long right now.
Meh.
It’s just so hard to say with the new coaching staff.
Marshal beat ND last night. Anything can happen any week.
I’m not predicting anything anymore.
Should we beat Florida? Probably. But how many times should we have beaten Florida in the past and didn’t. Maybe if we win half of them over the next few years my feelings will change.
Last year when we played Corral we decided we wouldn’t let him beat us throwing but gave up a ton of rushing yards. It should be the opposite against AR. We need to focus on keeping him in the pocket and making him throw. We should be very careful with blitzing him as he’s slippery and that’ll likely flush him out. It should be a totally different game plan from what we saw today on D.If Tennessee can keep Richardson in check it’ll be a great game if not it could get ugly. I just don’t trust the defense yet.
Maybe but maybe not. Mullen was doing well at Miss St and it didn’t translate to Florida. Perhaps that’s why Stoops has stayed. He’s paid pretty well and he knows a new situation is a gamble.Sure you can. Like him or not, Stoops is one heck of a coach. Put him on one of the big time programs in the SEC, I would bet he does really good.
