Got this via Basillio's site. Its a very telling read.

A lot of you may already know of the improprieties of UK basketball, however I did not (forgive me) so I thought I'd pass this along.

UK's football history is just as bad, but it is largely ignored, due in large part, I believe, because of their tradition of suckness.

Here's what gets me....how these colleges are being promoted by ESPN...not only colleges but coaches too...how they are known to be cheating their way to the top and they still put them up on the pedestal...then when they get caught the same network smears their name and act like they should never been given the job to begin with...it works in basketball and football....

ESPN is in the business of ratings. Great teams, no matter how corrupt, get ratings.

ucla in the wooden years and a few years ago also paid to get the best players in the coutry to come play there ucla built its dynasty on academic fraud ,paying players, point shaving vr kentucky there hasnt been a coach at kentucky ever who didnt cheat by paying players academic fraud and other things i personally know a man who paid the university from the early 80 till his death a few years ago the deal was let his son be on the football team and he would give anywhere between 600,000 to a million to help get the best basketball players to uk that money could by .i worked for him and he showed me papers were he had sent well over 10,000,000 dollars and he was in a special boosters club he had season tickets to all football and basketball games, i got to use them a few times one year i saw all tennessee home games and got to see ut at kentucky 2nd row mid field,he had 5 tickets there then 4 on upper level and i saw the sec toureny at rupp when barkley played for auburn and several other games row 2 mid court.he would bragg about what he had done ,he was an older man he said i paid to get ron mercer here and alot of other players
