I'd say so if it ever happened. But it won't.

I almost would say Ole Miss has a better chance of making it to Atlanta, but then I remembered the one main rule of Ole Miss football is that by the end of the year, they still don't make it to Atlanta.

That no one will show up for. They're already making signs for Rupp.

It's funny because everyone says "No way UK gets near a bowl game, they'll only win 3 or 4, maybe less". Then all of a sudden and I hear (from outside VN), that it doesn't matter. For UK, it's a huge deal. 6 wins, beating teams we finally should beat like MSU, Vandy, USCjr. 6 wins should be the norm. Gimme 7 wins every year in football, maybe an occasional 8, and I'd be happy. Do we do it though next year? Hard to say.

This may be because I'm not a UK fan,(obviously), but I don't view the any of the 3 teams you listed as teams you "should" beat but rather as the ones you should be most competitive with. Thats not a slight at UK nor any of the other teams, just seems like they're all on pretty equal footing. The series record between UK and those teams individually is also almost even right?

It changes year to year, but this year it's clear MSU, Vandy, and USCjr were all down and UK had a good chance. I'm obviously biased, but we have a decent amount of talent, maybe not the star power of other schools, but I believed we should have beaten all of them. We did. Unfortunately we should have beat Southern Miss, but we didn't.

And on a side note, it should be expected that Stoops gets to a level where winning 3 or 4 SEC games is the norm. Vandy, USCjr, and MSU are all opponents we need to start beating every year. We've already started it vs USCjr.

I see your point, I watched y'alls game this weekend and I thought if MSU had rushed 4 on that last drive UK never makes into fg range due to getting sacked. But MSU didn't and UK did. This was definitely the year y'all needed to take that next step though, on paper it looked like UK had the advantage and the scores reflected that.

I'd say your expectations are very reasonable as well. Also, your streak vs the gamecocks is hilarious for me because I live up here near Columbia and I LOVE hearing them pout.

The last six games of 2014/2015 are way different than 2016 . Probably only 2 of those combined 12 games were games we truly should have won. This year we definitely have a good chance against MSU, AP, Mizzou, and maybe UGA if they play us like they did Vandy.

Somehow this sounds familiar. :)

Looks to me like Kentucky has a very good chance of making a bowl, going 6-6 overall, 4-4 in the SEC, and ending up in 4th place in the East. That's not a bad season for them, esp. with folks writing them off entirely after their first two games.

Given all that, doesn't seem like a terrible time for LittleCat to resurrect the thread and gloat a bit. I'm kinda happy for the feller. :)
