If a player leaves early for the NBA but is in good academic standing, there is not a penalty. If a player leaves early for the NBA and is not in good academic standing, there is a penalty.

So theoretically, a program could have heavy turnover year after year and not be penalized. The reality of the situation, however, is that often an early entry to the draft is going to let his academics slide.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out at Kentucky if it becomes the norm for so many Wildcats to declare early for the draft.

From Rivals.

I know a lot of us were wondering what the effect of one and dones was on Kentucky's APR. If Cal can't keep their grades up he could be in trouble.

Could affect us too in the near future.

He**, If he's having kids take the ACT/SAT for 'em, why wouldnt he be paying some nerds to take all their tests for them too!! Think it through!!

Over on Catspause they are saying that Bledsoe had problems with his grades and that Orton dropped his classes as soon as the season ended.

Well how hard is it to pass Freshman classes anyway. I'm sure Cal had them enrolled in Addition/Subtraction 101, ABC123, Underwater basketweaving and Principles of Basketball.

Orton is finishing classes from California via coorespondence. Wall and Cousins are doing well, but I have heard that Bledsoe is falling off a bit.

Are they really considering tearing down Rupp?

I'm not sure if they will actually tear it down or not, but the plans for a new arena are near completion. Most are saying 2014.

Its just inevitable. Louisville cannot build a new state of the art arena and UK stand by and watch. Not going to happen.

Coach Cal! Are u kidding me? It always comes back to haunt him. He has to be the most crooked coach in all of college basketball. There is no telling what these kids and there families get when they come play for his team. By now, he should be an expert on under the table deals. That is how he reqruits. He tells the boosters who he needs and what it will take to get them on his team. In my opinion, "CHEATER"! I wish he would've stayed at Memphis or out of the SEC. :detective::machgun: Coach Cal.
