Kentucky not considering hiring Bobby Petrino after firing Joker Phillips - Yahoo! Sports

Sonny Dykes- HC Louisiana Tech
Dirk Koetter- OC Atlanta Falcons
Brent Pease- OC Florida
Neal Brown- OC Texas Tech

The list also says that several college offensive coordinators are being considered.

One name to watch for is Oregon's offensive Coordinator Mark Helfrich. There are connections between the two schools via Rich Brooks. Mitch Barnhart DID make a trip to Oregon/California last week.

Sounds like they are going to make a Dooley type pick -- gotta save that $$$$ for basketball

Don't quite agree with that. Some of those picks will come with a high price tag. Dykes will be offered by multiple schools so they will have to compete for them. It's going to take some money to drag Brent Pease or Mark Helfrich away from Oregon or Florida..

Okay.. Just seen who wrote that. Pat Forde. Don't put much stock into this article. HOWEVER, I have still heard much talk about Dykes and Helfrich. Not so much the others...

Dykes or Helfrich would be a solid hire. I like Pease as well. Not really a fan of Koetter or Brown. Kliff Kingsbury from A&M could be a pretty good coach.

Forde doesn't know ****. Mitch Barnhart won't even talk to him.

UK will never go after a proven coach...Gonna always hire assistants and hope they can win enough to be bowl eligible...That is a big season for UK...Football is just something to do until march madness.

With a crowd of 19.5K yesterday, there is evidence that refutes your theory.

No established coach will go to uk. They don't support football in the ath dept. If they weren't in the sec their attendance would suck every year. I say kick uk out of the sec and move forward. It's all aboit football anyway.

MB went on radio in Louisville earlier this year and said UK has the resources to make their football coach the highest paid if they found the right guy.

:lolabove:And then he would leave after that season when pissed that Calipari gets a Cadillac and said football coach gets a zippo lighter as bonuses. Sound familiar?
