Keon Johnson headed to the Suns

I'm excited to have Keon in town here. It's a great opportunity for him playing with KD and Booker, and if he can make 3's they will put him to good use. If he just fills out a little more, learns the tricks of the defensive trade, and raises that 3p% by .035, he's going to make a lot of money in this league.

Now Damian can hopefully win a ship.

Deserves one.

Why does a guy who makes no attempt at all to play defense deserve one?

Does Harden and Trae Young deserve them too?

Jokic didn't play D early in his career. He got in shape and put effort on that side of the court. That's the guy who deserves it, not a guy who puts up a bunch of empty stats on poor to mediocre teams..

Ha: That's a lot of 'ifs'---but wish him well. He's certainly got all-pro athleticism.

Trae doesn’t belong in the same category as Harden and Dame. I get it that none of them play d, but Trae is just not on the same level as the other two offensively.

Agree there. Trae may not be quite the team cancer but he'll never be prime Harden from efficiency standpoint...

Harden became a pain in the ass after the MVP. Never heard of problems until the last days of Houston. I was hearing negative Trae stories by year 3, which is way too early for that. He's not not on a good pace in that regard

He got a contract, but when the dust settles, I have to wonder how his career would have turned out if he'd have stayed in college. Same thoughts for Chandler and Springer.
Agree but it is what it is for Kennedy...too small in stature these bigger guards in NBA was always going to take advantage of his height...great player but the days of the Chris Paul's dominating at guard are over...

Johnson was waived by Suns but picked up 2-way deal with Nets. Hope he can put it together and get another opportunity to earn minutes. At least he is getting paid. Gotta be more than just a great athlete to stick in the NBA long term.

Springer is progressing and the Sixers continue to invest in him. His ability to defend, which Barnes required may keep him in the league for awhile because he is pretty efficient offensively when he gets a chance.

Chandler, the future doesn't look as bright. Nets picked him up in October and released him 2 days later. Living off that $4.9 guaranteed salary he got on rookie deal for now I imagine. Unless he improves his perimeter shot dramatically it is questionable, he spends much time in the NBA. He may be better served going to Europe for his basketball career, much like Kevin Punter. Punter has had a great career in Europe for 6+ years and it continues.

It’s a shame these guys & their families make the move like that at that age. Johnson, Springer & Chandler were not ready for that league. Yeah they took the money but it gets gone quickly.

Chandler wasn’t going to grow taller staying here another year.
