The man had a career playing for the Panthers, Saints, Giants, Raiders and Titans

kinda was feeling this should at least get a separate thread

anyways:

Coming from a college career ended upon leading the Penn State Nittany Lions to an undefeated #1/#2 ranking and recipient of the Maxwell and Davey O'Brien awards, was drafted drafted 5th overall by carolina (& the team's first ever draft pick)

ended up having a 16 year career in which he the took a Panthers team to the NFC championship (in the franchise's 2nd season), took the Giants to a Super Bowl, and ended up 11th overall on the all-time passing list (starting for 4 different teams over the years)

clearly it was by no means the best career a player could have, but - at the very least - getting 15-16 years of starting/backup, it was a pretty good one to have

What will the Titans do now?

Carson Palmer?

from another thread:

Mike Brown is the most stubborn GM/president/owner in the league. When he says they're not trading him, he means they're not trading him (especially if it's coming from a player telling him what to do)

Comparable was when Chad soon-to-once-again-be-Johnson demanded to be traded a few year back, he said no, and proceeded to turn down each and every offer teams made, including one from Washington for 2 first round picks.

Guy's stubborn and sticks to what he says

expect Matt Hasselbeck or Marc Bulger.....some spacey people seem to argue McNabb would want the job

If there is a season this year the Titans are screwed. Even if Locker doesn't turn out to be a bust, which is a possibility, rookie QBs rarely have success.

Was Kerry Collins the QB at PSU when they pounded us in the Fiesta Bowl? I was pretty young, I can't remember. Is he that old?

No, the starter was Tony Sacca

Collins would have been on the roster though, a freshman

in 1994 citrus bowl kerry collins, bobby engram, and kijana carter beat the hell out UT that day 31 - 13.
Shutting them out in the 2nd half.

that may have been the spurrier quote game
