Why is it whenever we need to replace a coach (majors), an announcer (ward) and o.c. (sanders) we never do a nationwide search or go through an interview process.

As far as I can remember Fulmer was interim coach and then announced head coach, no other candidates interviewed. Same thing with Ward, ward retires, no one else is interviewed, no one is tried on the air, it immediately goes to Kesling cause hes local newscaster.

Cutcliffe leaves, instead of doing a nationwide search for a new o.c. it immediately goes to the local guy sanders the qb coach. This is a problem. Its a form of nepatism.

All 3 of those guys have been disappointing.

Maybe John Ward will come back. I mean UGA announcer Larry Munson is around 83?

Any chance we can get Mike Keith to come back? He was everyone's choice when John stepped down. Bob's a nice guy and all, but he is just soooo booorrriinnnggg.

2-of-3

Fulmer winning the 1998 National Championship is enough to say he has NOT been disappointing. Its also the ONLY season in Tennessee history with a 13-0 record. Fulmer's 79.75% winning percentage is still one of the best in the country and 2nd best in Tennessee history to only General Neyland (UT coaches w/ at least 5 years). And if ties did not count as half wins, Neyland's percentage would only be 80.09%.

Excellent reply, I have no idea why we didn't go nationwide, maybe they thought he needed to be "close" to the program, hell if I know.

If Sanders "loses" the NC game, does he get rehired? I'll bet so. :banghead:

Hate him too, Atlanta paper ran a harsh article on his drug use and interviews with friends who really jumped his case.

I'll take Keith, how do you go about getting an announcer fired, we ganged up on Sanders, maybe we can tie in our :moon2: poor offense to Kesling.

He's a jinx, yeah, that's it, we will NEVER win an NC with him in the booth.

<repeat to everyone you know> :dance2:

Hamilton said the hire would not happen without his approval. I like this, and get rid of Kesling as well.

Kesling is fine. Widely respected and former walkon wide receiver at UT. I never personally liked the 'homers" like Eli Gold or Larry Munson.I would hate to get that high-pitched voice Mike Keith back.

PS We need to get Charles Davis back in some capacity.

Fat BOb is as about as boring as watching grass grow. He could not carry John Ward's microphone. I know it is asking alot to replace a legend, but really people let's at least get someone from the SOUTH. Fat Bob is a damn YANKEE he is from Ohio!!!!!
