Kevin O'Neill in trouble?

and Arizona fans were left wondering what just happened
wait so KO walks into a bar with UofA fans and starts a fight? I'm guessing they were just quietly enjoying their shirley temples when KO's wife attacked them ninja-style. Sounds plausible

I'm not saying KO is innocent at all but there has to be much more to it than this

Oh absolutely. Keep in mind this is a AZ website too, so I'm sure they are editing the story. I have seen rumblings of this posted elsewhere as well. I guess the point is, something happened, and as a HC you've got to be the bigger man and walk away.

I was lucky enough to meet him when they played UT and he and his wife were very nice... his wife seemed like a really nice woman... I've got to think KO didn't just randomly start yelling at fans in the bar.

Those pictures are hilarious.

Didn't hat just say the other day that Kevin O'Neill would be the one coach he would be surprised at if a story broke about him?

Granted I'd take this story everyday of the week over the story we are dealing with, but still ironic.

What does this have to do with NCAA violations?

He never outright said it, no. But by what he did say, I think his point that O'Niell wouldn't be the kind of coach who gets into trouble is pretty clear. Turns out he's not such a choir boy.

Hat never said that.

i don't have the quote or remember it verbatim, just remember him being asked if he could name a coach he would be shocked by if something came out about them in football or basketball. Hat said in major college he'd surprised if something came out about Kevin O'Neill.

Don't get butt hurt about it, all I'm saying is its ironic. It isn't an indictment against hat or his faith in Kevin O'Neill as a good person... for all we know the O'Neill's could very well be the victim of awful Zonie fans. Like I said before, its unfortunate and ironic.

My point is that nobody considers KO a "choir boy." For some reason you guys are making stuff up... the KO will not get in trouble was clearly in the discussion of NCAA sanctions or violations... not getting into a verbal altercation at a hotel bar.

I understand it's ironic to a point but everyone knows KO drinks and cusses like a sailor.

i agree looking back at the thread we were talking about 'AA violations, not bar fights. Still painfully ironic.

And there is probably some sort of morality provision in the dense NCAA code book regarding a prohibition against bar fights.

Well, Arizona boosters must be really proud. According to the article they got their asses kicked by KO's wife.
