Few people play the martyr with as much conviction as Saint Kevin. It must be hard to coach from up there on the cross.

DeCourcy spent 10 minutes railing on the whinning coaches this morning. He said they complain about a couple hundred bucks, then drop way more than that on rooms, cars, gambling, meals, etc while there. Said he was staying 20 miles away in a Courtyard hotel while the coaches are pitching fits over $250 while staying in a suite for $350 a night.

This is just Stallings doing what a number of SEC coaches are doing: Creating excuses they can use when Cal and UK start bulldozing them. "If only the system were fair..."

If that money went for funding of those programs then i don't see what the big deal is. Kevin stallings can afford a couple of hundred bucks i would think.... cheap ass. Kevin has always come off rather smug. This just proves he's cheap too.

If it went to the funding of the programs, I think he said it was a violation if done knowingly or something. idk about that

And cheap? Seriously? There is no reason to drop 200 bucks on something you could get for free off of the internet. Much less if he had already bought a ticket to get in and most likely knew who he was gonna be watching.

His column over at tsn.com on this issue is tremendous.
