Who gets the guy? I wish he were our coach. I think all those who Like the Leach offense would be pleased as same type of pass happy team. But seeing as there are several firings where do you think he will land? Or do you think with all this conference realignment that Houston will be able to keep him?

Houston might keep him but I wouldn't put the odds too high. I'll say Arizona State gets him.

Seems like a good fit. Good call. they like to sling the ball all over the field. Imaginge Rich Rods Spread Run vs Sumlins Passy happy spread. Wow should truly make for some basketball scores in a non defense conference.

I'm thinking Texas A&M if they fire Sherman. If not, Arizona State sounds like a good fit.

Man imagine that shot in the arm. A school joining the best conference in the land is loads of excitement for a fanbase. However throw in Sumlins resume and I am guessing College Station would be stoked!

I'm sure CKS is on a few short lists. I don't think he ends up at ASU though. IF UCLA fires CRN then I'm thinking they push for CKS. Also, being a Purdue letterman, CKS may get and have interest in the Illini job and get back towards home. Most of his formidable coaching years has been in the Big 12 so maybe Kansas??

How different would our outlook be if Dooley were hried with CKS resume at time of hire. Wo we actually believe he would turn it around?

He had Keenum go down for season last year. Hard for a program to have that kind of player go down and just insert the next guy and be anywhere remotely the same. So I can give the man a pass for last season.

Now now, can't be having excuses of not having his best player...

A SEC coach should always have a qualified backup. Most players at non BCS school are only one deep of decent players if that. If Houston was a school of big time conference then Worley would do well in that system.

I would take Houston's backup over Simms or a true freshman worley any time.

Honestly -not to knock the guy or anything- but what has he really done to have our fans wanting him as our next HC? He's undefeated in a piss poor conference and had Case Keenum. They went 5-7 in that same conference last year, with Keenum out basically the entire season. IMHO, I think he's fools gold.

Wow...

Imagine that, a coach getting a pass because his QB got hurt.

Sumlin is a guy who makes a living beating up on Memphis with whatever recruits that Texas and A&M leave behind.

He isn't Urban Meyer.
