I may be mistaken but I think he becomes eligible Jan 1 2012. One day late for the New Years Eve UL vs UK matchup. Or at least my UL lovin' coworkers were saying that.

Imagine how bad we'd be if Pearl had stayed and both Hopson and Harris left and the only recruits we signed were two ineligible kids.

That's crazy talk. Bruce the Great would have certainly had us in the Final Four, led by McBee and Swiperboy and a grand total of 7 scholarship players.

Hopson and Harris both would not have left. Hopson probably, Harris, no.

Regardless of what he had said before, I imagine the money would be hard to turn down.

Hopson was talking like he was done before tournament play even started. Not sure Harris would have passed up guaranteed money and a 1st round pick (this year's draft was pretty weak) to carry a team full of underachievers this year.

Yeah, going 14-10 in games he coached this year really signifies winning.

Exactly. How would we have done better with our two best players gone, our two recruits ineligible, and 7-8 scholarship players?

People will try to blame CCM for going around .500 this season when the reality is that Pearl probably would have done about the same.

Now don't let good common sense sneak into this discussion, jackwagon. There is no place on volnation for this kind of thing.
