Wow yet another article to get me stoked about this season..nov 9th can't come quick enough !!

Boxer, go to John Black Photography - Dogs of Knoxville Calendar Contest for the Humane Society fundraiser. Not bragging or anything...just a bodacious boxer and pit chosen. (And the boxer made the center of the poster too.):yes::yes::yes:

Wow awesome!! Your boxer and pit are so photogenic!! question though..how did you get them to sit for those poses?!? mine get to excited lol and it's hard to get them to sit for even a second for pictures. I want that calender though..I'm guessing the humane society is selling them?

Yes, it's a fund raiser. The photographer had seen the pit with me on Market Square and wanted to photograph her. She is a rescue from abuse (beaten and starved); the boxer went to keep her from being scared. Since the boxer is the perfect dog, she will do anything to please and the pit follows her big sis. Pits are naturally sweet natured and fortunately the abuse did not ruin her disposition. Boxers do get excited! She is grown now; I think you said yours are still young. Just work with them, as soon as they understand what you want they will be able to sit for pictures....but it is hard on them!:) I wouldn't use treats, just affection. Treats can cause excitement (and slobbers!).
