After watching the osu and wvu game some things became clear in order to secure a lady vol win against OSU.
1. Limit turnovers; osu scored 30-40 points off WV turnovers
2. Keep osu from getting out in transition. As soon as a rebound is made, find kelsey Mitchell and keep her from pushing the tempo.
3. Dont go under the screen on kelsey Mitchell with the pick and roll
4. Control the boards
5. Our guards must stay in attack mode. Reynolds is a completely different player when she is looking for her shot
6 get Mercedes and Graves involved on the offensive end
7 Face Guard kelsey mitchell
8 use our bench! we've seen when nia and sometimes dunbar have an opportunity to play they can give us solid mins.
9 Tea, must play under control.

Great keys to the game but can this team execute those keys and will CHW have a "quick hook" on players that turn the ball over?

I personally will take all of Deshields t.o.'s for performances like last night. It's funny how many on here bash her about her attitude, her road travelled to get her and even if she is a spoiled brat. But there is no one else on the LV team that can do what she does.

"IF" they can execute your keys to the game and CHW just let's them play, they got a punchers chance....

The LVs will need to watch the fouls (especially Graves, Russell, Moore and DD) and not give Mitchell FTs. She hit 18 of 22 against WVU, which was a big factor in OSU's win.

The LVs have more than a puncher's chance. This game is basically a push (51% advantage OSU, due to seeding). If the LVs play like they have shown they are capable of playing, they can win.

1. Stopping dribble penetration into the lane. OS has 3 very good fast guards. Kelsey Mitchell, Ameryst Alston and I can't remember the player coming off the bench but she's a good one, too.

Tennessee defense will have to be the stingiest it's been all season. OSU guards are a lot better than ours. The do not hesitate to shoot. They are all attacking guards.

Ohio State will win if Tennessee does not limit their guards from scoring.

The way to counter is to attack them back. Get them into foul trouble early and often. But Kelsey Mitchell must be checked at all times especially behind the 3pt line.

Tennessee will lose this game if Ohio State makes more than 3pt shots than they do.

2. Nia Moore and Kortney Dunbar must play in this game. Nia can get weave thru the defense to score. She's much more agile and quicker than Mercedes. Have both in at the same time. Give Cedes rest and let Nia get minutes. Kortney can be inside or out. She's a big guard that can get State's Bigs in foul trouble if KD can work in the paint to score.

Holly has not shown that she can think outside the box or coach those two players into playmakers. I hope she has a plan for two players that will be needed for the win.

3. If Tennessee can have all 5 starters contribute in points and play as a team we can beat OSU but I'm telling y'all Holly is a detriment to the team because she has not shown that she can coach. I have Zero confidence in CHW. I'm placing all my faith on the team. They'll have to figure it out themselves to beat Ohio State.

Let's keep it simple, LVs win if they score more points than OSU. Too much if this, then that, if, bla bla bla. Prove doubters (me included) that you deserve, and have the capability, to be in the elite 8.

#1 is 1st, 2nd and 3rd. OSU is very good offensively, but mediocre on defense. Don't turn the ball over and don't try and run with them and you'll be ok.

I won't and it's not funny at all. That approach is a feast or famine approach. If DD plays within the team concept the team is much better. If she can get some offensive rebounds and steals she will help the team much more. When she is out on an island jacking up shots it is feast or famine.

Ohio State is one of the best offensive teams in the country. They shoot it very well. We'll have to play a great game to beat them and we'll probably need to score around 80 points.

OSU will have a harder time scoring if the LVs don't turn the ball over and don't give them a lot of free throws. OSU made 66 of their 88 points (75%) against WVU from TOs and FTs. And WVU was still within one score of winning with less than a minute left to play.

This game is very winnable. Play disciplined, protect the ball, outrebound OSU and keep the ball moving (no dribble dribble offense), and the LVs can advance to the Elite Eight. Play sloppy, turn it over and let Mitchell get hot hitting 3s, and the LVs could be one and done in SD.

On defense, We should play a zone defense, matching up with their best three-point shooters, and make sure to block out and rebound. A zone will slow down their guards and their scoring, if we play it well.

On offense, we will have to limit turnovers and shoot well. We aren't going to shoot 53 percent again, but we probably need to be around 45 percent to win.

Its so nice, the Ladies found a way to win and do it in spite of all the hatred and evilness displayed by Lady Vol's nation this year. This is first year where I felt like the fans, left our ladies and coaches out to dry, alone, tried to disassociate themselves with the Lady Vols.

Having to go most of the season and couldn't lean on us, the fans for support. We gave them nothing really. Nice job to those of you who remained true.

So, great job ladies you deserve a pep rally, that should include your team, staff and that's it, cos the fans this year have been horrible. Play for yourselves, ladies.

The keys beating OSU, well the players have them. wuteva?

I back Holly and roll with Lady Vols.

Don't make it complicated. Execute on both sides of the ball. Play each possession one at a time and don't play to fast, play at your tempo.

You hit the nail on the head, in addition:6

1. Holly let them play as you did 5 of the last 6 games;
2. Light a fire under Russell's butt and insist that she play an entire game like she did in the first half of the Arizona State game;
3. Tell Graves to shoot the 10 to 15 foot open jumper;
4. Put the ball in Diamond's hands and tell her she is your bell cow;
5. Tell Carter to use her head for more than a hair holder;
6. Insist that throwing a ball into a crowd is not a receipe for success;
7. No matter how difficult it is fight the desire to play dribble, dribble, throw it inside, unforced error offense;&
8. Coaches come with the right attitude and realize, it doesn't hurt to get in a player's face when they make a stupid unforced turnover. Yes you will hurt a few feelings but you are there to win and not do a cheap imitation of Mother Thereas.

none of that matters. If we play them and score more points than them I guarantee you we will win.
