.) GET THE BALL TO CHISM. -- Chism must be dominant. He must decisively outplay Aldrich for us to win this thing. Something to the tune of 20 pts and 10 rebs should suffice.
.) Control Collins' Dribble Penetration: This is going to be key. Obviously he is going to score some on Maze, but he can't go off for another career high like last year by simply abusing Bobby Maze off the bounce.
.) Guard the Ball Screens: Last year was the most pathetic defense against a ball screen offense I had ever seen at the college level that allowed KU to have about 6 or 7 alley-oop dunks. I believe Chism will hedge well on the ball screens, but I worry about Hall and Woolridge.
.) Defensive Rebounding: We have to keep them off the glass. Keeping them from scoring out of their offense will be hard enough without second chance points.
.) Finally, win all the 50-50 balls: We must outhustle KU in this game to get a W.
I envy everyone getting to see this thing live. I would love to be there, but I'll be on my way back to law school. Be loud guys and Go VOLS!!
