Some of Milton's bad throws are a direct result of the coaching he's getting. I don't know of another team that trains a QB to stand in the pocket flat-footed. There's a reason we see QBs on their toes before throwing. It positions the passer to make an accurate pass.
That actually doesn't have much to do with the accuracy. QB's do what we call Live Feet for rhythm and timing. It also allows the QB to go through his progressions quicker. They're not going through a lot of progressions in the CJH scheme so its not necessary. Accuracy comes from the hips that front toe and the follow through.

If a Qb is standing in the pocket flat footed trying to throw the ball to a WR who's running as fast as he can, he's going to be out of position to make an accurate throw. That's why they're trained to stay on their toes (balls of the feet) and plant only when they have the look that they want.

Uhh no that's false. When a QB goes to throw the ball he isn't bouncing on his toes bro, his feet are set when he is ready to pass. So how does bouncing affect Accuracy if he is planted when he throws?? That makes zero logical sense. It doesnt matter how fast the WR is running. They want them on their toes simply for timing and rhythm. The accuracy comes from their hips, proper width between the front and back leg, and the follow through. When they don't follow through or they throw off the back foot is when u see balls sailing.

You're right. The way you understood what I wrote does not make "logical sense." You didn't understand what I wrote. I said they are trained to stay on the balls of their feet until they have the sight picture that tells them the WR is open. THEN they plant and throw! When they do that, their feet are positioned to make an accurate throw. It's the same principle as a boxer staying on the balls of his feet, then planting and throwing a punch. His feet are in the proper position to punch with power. The bouncing is not about "timing and rhythm." It's about keeping the feet moving to avoid having them planted in the wrong position to make an accurate throw.

This football team would never have gone 11-2 last year without Ramel Keyton. And this football team won’t go very far this year without Ramel Keyton.
I'll never forget that catch last year agains UF. We stole 7 points before the half. There was also this little catch he made in the Bama game on the last drive. He's one of the most unsung Vols in recent memory!
