Haven't seen much on this... anything new for 2013? Will Palardy still start?

I think we can pick up a hobo off the street and he can win out the kicking spot.

Good news is it can't get any worse no matter who kicks.

I just find it incredible how the top rated kicker in the nation can be so inconsistent

Bullock was signed last year and from a lot of reports he has a good leg, but we will have to wait until the spring. He broke his leg and that threw any kicking competition out the window that would have happened.

Wasn't it reported he broke it while imitating the punter on punt block drills? Why in the hell would you want guys diving in on your potential place kicker?! Use a walkon at any position. Catch the snap get blocked.

Another thing CDD did that really made no damn sense considering how much we need.

Yes. I think you are correct. I hope he recovers and helps the team. GBO!!

I went to a Nashville Hillsboro game this year and they have a kid that was crushing 50+ yard field goals. Don't know his name but I hope we give him a look.

i can't believe how Palardy has turned out as a field goal kicker,he has great film of him during high school,i don't understand what went wrong, but he did do a fine job as a punter, hopefully Bullock will come back and be a good field goal kicker for the Vols

Big difference kicking off a tee in high school and the ground in college. About 45 years ago when I was a freshman at U.T. I was a friend of the graduating place kicker there. I held for him while he practiced kicking off the ground for a tryout with the Cleveland Browns. Back in those days, college kickers used a tee, and the pros didn't. He had a tough time adjusting.

It is similar to golf, using a tee or not. Some adjust well. Some don't.

No, they were practicing field goal blocks/protections, which you need an actual kicker for.
