I have read through most practice notes. Also through most of the updates and coaching notes. I haven't seen much on our kicking game. All I keep hearing is how we have no clear cut QB and I think its overshadowing our special teams. Anyone have some actual info on how our kickers are doing?

I heard that Hurd was deemed too tall for RB so Jones made him the long-snapper. Don't underestimate the value of a 5* longsnapper.

He's going to longsnap and handle kicking/ punting duties he's that amazing just to tall for RB

I'm not directing this comment at you alone, but the Hurd's changing position jokes are so 6 months ago......... OLD.........

Everything is old on here. Whining about the schedule, we're too young, Butch gets it,.......it's all old.

Medley to do all place kicking. Darr is the punter.

Can any of them kick the ball into the end zone consistently? That makes kick coverage so much easier.

Medley, the frosh, has preformed well and i believe he said he was comfortable with anything less than 55! yards. Probably a little hyperbole, but i love his confidence and he has preformed in camp.

Darr apparently is a whole new man in his last year. Still a little inconsistent but apparently when he catches one it goes very high and very far, and he's starting to hit more and more good ones.

No kidding!

I would find a soccer player, rugby player, anyone on campus that can kick the ball out of the endzone every single time. It doesn't matter if it only gets 12 feet off the ground as long as it goes for a touchback.

I think Bullock is also trying out for kickoffs, but I haven't seen how he or Medley is actually doing.

Heard on Doug Mathews show Sunday that Medley is being given "every opportunity" to win the place kicking duties, that he's the one the coaches are calling on during the "sudden change" opportunities to kick a game-winning field goal thus far in camp. Said he has a big leg and he kinda expecting him to handle field goal and kickoff duties.
