Well we're ranked 14 in ESPN/USA Today-Coaches poll and we are coming off a very strong season of 10-3. The big question though, as it is every few years, how will our QB do? We have always been blessed with a good one though, partially due to coaching. But what about the rest of the game like defense and running. i'm stationed in Germany and trying to find out how they are looking. help me out. I'mm getting an itch and can already hear old rocky top being played!! :rocks:

Welcome to the board Airman. I'll bet Vol coverage is a little sketchy in your neck of the woods.

I think we are going to have a pretty talented all around team this year. If the QB can not make mistakes and keep us out of trouble then we will win some football games this year.

The Defense will again have to win games for the Vols. The Defense is loaded at LB and DE, Young but talented in the secondary and extremely thin at DT. On Offense there are big question marks, The WR's as a group are very talented and now have experience, the OL has alot of talent but has underperformed, will they finally get it together? The RB have some talent but none have shown they ae in the same class as past RB's, Will UT have a receiving TE this year? who knows. The QB is an even bigger question mark, Can Leak hold on to #1 and make the correct quick decisions? Will Clausen unseat him? Will a Freshman unseat Leak? Will the running game come thru? Can Leak get the ball to the WR's to take pressure off the running game or will their talent go to waste this season? UT's schedule is full of landmines and if the RB's and OL cannot establish the running game and Leak continues with his indecision it could get really bad.

I think the defense is good enough though that even if the offense tanks, we could still win 9 games. Other than Georgia, the tough ones are at home.

No doubt we have talent, we just need for them to step up in key positions on offense. Defense will be just fine.
