"Kiffin’s antics impress Thornton, Brown, and lift Vols"

Thornton, considered the top uncommitted D-lineman in the state, hadn’t mentioned Tennessee among his favorites (Auburn, Georgia, Penn State) before Friday. Asked after the game if the Vols were now in it for him, Thornton said: “Oh, yeah; oh yeah. Hopefully I can get up there for a game soon.”

Well at least it was just 1 violation.

“Yeah, he was at my school earlier,” said Brown, the state’s top-ranked tailback and a Florida commitment. “I ran into him, shook his hand.”

What violation would that be? HE can "accidentally" run into a play and exchange greetings. Saban is a master at this.

Actually its not, thats what Saban got in trouble for and they made the "Saban Rule" for this type thing. They are not allowed to have any contact at all with them.

Everyone was screaming about this exact thing with the WR in Memphis when he committed to Bama for saying the same thing in an article.

What I like is that CLK is innovative and doing something different.

We all saw Meyer at the STA game just standing on the sideline. Nothing special and could have been unnoticed for the most part.

Kiffin makes a grand entrance and gets everyone's attention. There wasn't one person at that game who didn't know Kiffin was there.

He is always thinking and I love it.

Kiffin probably had the song "Stuntin like my daddy" come on right after the Star spangled Banner as he Pimp Walked into the game.

I know we get spirited on this board but those post-article comments were absolutely classless. Absolute trash. I don't know why I am surprised.

They're from Georgia. They have to have something to detract from that train wreck of a team. Anytime this Tennessee offense scores 45 on you, you need to find something else to focus on.

You have to admit, the comment about using balloon boys idea was funny. Probably would have been better than the heli.

I agree 100%, I am so looking forward to the talent he is/going to bring in to the program. People call him what you will, but the bottom line is he is gonna get the job done.

Kiffin's approach is pretty much brilliant. When it comes down to a recruit's decision, you've got to stick out and be special. If he can go 5-1 here on out, look out...

Does anyone think there is a chance that Mack Brown would be more interested in us after this visit? He seems like a really good player that I would love to have wearing orange.

The new ideas, and the way this staff recruits, gets in the heads of all the big time "established" coaches is absolutely insane, and I love every second of it. I know we are in good hands for the future, and I am back to loving UT foosball just like I love my wife, and family. the more hate the trolls spew, and even how many of them get on to this and other vol websites is a testament in itself as to the direction that this program is headed ....STRAIGHT UP!!!! Heres my favorite quote from this article...“Yeah, he was at my school earlier,” said Brown, the state’s top-ranked tailback and a Florida commitment. “I ran into him, shook his hand.”

Asked if Kiffin was trying to get him to flip on the Gators, Brown said politely, “Yes, sir.”
 GBO!!!
