When he was here, I felt we should have won the UCLA game. To be fair though, I thought Crompton should have been benched but kudos to CLK for keeping him in. I felt Florida and Bama were moral victories. However, I thought we should have beaten Auburn. The USCe win was a surprise and a good one at that but that no show against Virginia Tech in the Peach Bowl was telling.

In other words, with us, he lost at least two games and maybe three that he should not have and, won one (USCe) that he wasn’t supposed to. Is it just me or is he the same at Ole Miss; every year? It’s been a while but seems he was like that at USC as well.

My big question is what does Ole Miss do next year?

My understanding is that they begged, borrowed, and stole to get a massive NIL fund this season-and still came up short. They're not gonna be able to raise that amount of funds each year.

Could easily see Ole Miss and Lane taking a step back after this year.

It’s not even that, he had 3 years invested into Dart as his starter and really has nothing to show for it with that continuity.

Now it’s time to rebuild with a new QB…. Usually anytime an offensive coach can get 2-3 years with the same QB, that’s a perfect world.

The backup isn’t bad…Austin Simmons.

He played really well in his one series against Georgia. Dart had thrown an INT and uga scored making it 7-0. But Dart got hurt and couldn’t play in the next series. Simmons came in and guided them on a TD drive, converting on a 4th and 1 pass play along the way. Looked very poised in a big situation.

That game could’ve gone sideways quick for ole miss had he not played so well.

Kiffin isn’t a bad coach but he isn’t elite either. I’ve always gotten flack for pointing out he always comes up short in the end.

I don’t understand why he is so beloved, I can only attribute it to his big mouth is fun for trolls to laugh about so they attribute his boasts as part of his record and forget about his actual results.

He’s a really good coach. Top 10-15 in the country. Best Ole Miss coach since Johnny Vaught. Beat Georgia a few weeks ago… I’d say that was a game with everything on the line. If he got the LSU or Florida jobs, it could be a big problem. Ole Miss has a ceiling, and I’m sure he sees that.

I also agree that they had no business losing to Kentucky for sure. Florida on the road with the way they’ve started playing is more understandable to me.

USC wasn’t that big of a win IMO. At the time, the UGA win felt huge.
