Do you guys think Lane will actually give a scholarship to kids like Zach Rogers? Or will he say no way? Rogers has approximately a 0.0000% chance of seeing the field for any other top flight program. Hell his brother has about a 0.0000% chance of playing anywhere else! This is nothing but a Benji Shuler type player. Will Lane tell him to find greener pastures elsewhere?

I have no idea. But I do remember hear MH saying that he had told all the possible candidates that they had to respect all scholarships that had been offered. I dont know if MH will actually make CLK do that though. But with the staff were lining up, we might not have room for all the recruits that want to come here.

Bama, Auburn, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Stanford, and Vandy among others have offered Rogers.

It would be different if we weren't going to have room for everybody. I doubt that will be the case.

Zach should be better than his brother, though that isn't saying much.

I would hope that Lane Kiffin and his new staff would be able to evaluate the talent out there and offer to the best one's. Personally from what I have read, Zach is supposed to be better than Austin. I liked Austin as a possession reciever until he continually failed to actually catch the damn ball. His routes were precise, but he does lack the speed of Moore and the other's that leap frogged him this year on the depth chart.

Not gonna lie, I was dying laughing at possession receiver until I read the rest of the sentence. Didn't he almost lead the country in drops last year?

No, he wasn't even close to leading the country in drops. Zach will find playing time at safety sometime in his career.

Zach has better offers than his brother did. And that is the only real way to judge if a high schooler is legit. Star ratings are a joke.

I can only assume that you were led to this astute observation by either the fact that he is a.) the brother of Austin Rogers or b.) he is a white skill position player. By your Benji Shuler comment, I am going to guess it was the latter. Now if you put any real thought and research into your hypothesis you would have noticed that Zach Rogers is one of the top athletes in the entire state and has potential at the highest level of college football. But please, continue to share your enlightened opinions with us...

ZR is much faster and better than AR. If I'm not mistaken he set the 100 meter record at the state championships this year as a junior. With that kind of speed he will find PT somewhere.

My question is more along the lines of which recruits will he plunder from other staffs. I believe that is he wants Matt Barkley, then he will get Matt Barkley. I can almost see it now<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

Matt Barkley QB 5 Star
Ruben Randle WR 5 Star (LSU struggles this season and Coach O works his magic)
Jelani Jenkins LB 5 Star (Better chance at the NFL, Penn State or Monte “Freaking” Kiffin)
Manti Te’o LB 5 Star (See comments above)
Cierre Wood RB 5 Star (Troubles at Notre Dame lead to the great wies hope getting canned)
You pair these guys up with the class we already have and a few othes like Morgan Moses or Xavier Nixon, I would think we would have the top class

I'd say Penn State has sent its fair share of linebackers to the League.

Zach is a much better player than austin. It is one of those sign big brother to get better little brother deals!

If we get Barkely and Boyd, I seriously doubt that Stephens, and Crompton are back. Our 4 Qb's will be Barkley, Boyd, Coleman, and Cannon (Place Holder).

So are we gonna have 5 or 6 Qbs on the roster next year?

I'm sure it's what you're getting at, but I expect one, (maybe even two should the Boyd/Petty/recruit to be named later pan out) of our current QB's to transfer next year.
