I know he is a great OC...but does he seem immature and possibly mentally unstable?

He's of the opinion that pricks rise to the top and that works for so long but eventually it will bite him. Only a matter of time before he meets bigger pricks and gets used. Left with nothing but memories.

Regardless if you hate Kiffin, his firing at USC was handled extremely unprofessionally by Haden. Haden acted like a teenage, cheerleader breaking up with her b/f.

USC hasn't done anything since firing him, Haden "robbed" a foundation, they hired a drunk and they suffered their worst opening game loss in 120 years; I think Kiffin is getting the better end of the deal right now.

I don't by the "great" OC. He has had some of the very best talent at every stop he's been OC.

You're not paying attention at the offensive numbers increases at Bama since his arrival. Yes under Saban he will have players but Kiffin is great at getting those guys in space.

Haden is a Grade A jackass. Honestly, I'm surprised Kiffin showed him mercy by only hanging 52. Could've been 80 had he wanted.

USC should tweet back: "Point taken, maybe we should have just demoted you and hired Saban."

I think Kiffin would have recountered: "Nick has a much better job."

He put up a bunch of points on USC and good for him. However, bragging about being an OC to the team that fired you as head coach just seems like beating an empty barrel. To each their own.

And I agree. Saban does have a better job. How does that make Kiffin's OC job better than a HC position at USC? Except, maybe, for the fact that as an OC at Bama he's successful... At any other HC position...? Not so much.

I think, in this case, it's less about the fact that USC fired him and more about how they did it.

I don't disagree. It was classless (but epic :)).

It's just a personal thing, I guess, but I'm not sure I'd be bragging about being demoted to my current level of success, after such an abysmal job before the demotion.

If Kiffin wants some bragging rights against USC, he should probably keep his nose clean, look HC-worthy in the media, bide his time being successful, build up whatever troubled program would give him his next shot at HC, and take that team into USC for a big win.

But again, that's just me, admittedly.

Or... Perhaps I'm just reading it wrong. Maybe he meant "If I was still your coach I couldn't have been Bama's OC that hung 50 on you." Which would be a valid point, except for the fact that he would still be USC's coach and losing to lesser teams.

Whatever, I guess...

He does an amazing job getting the best out of his QBs going all the way back to Crompton at UT. And he has a very creative offensive mind.

Grade A douche? Check.

Grade A OC? Check.
