Kiffin to Ole Miss

Lane's dream of returning to SEC has been realized. Now Im waiting to see heads explode of all the Lane haters on VN. His pressers are going to be more interesting than Orgerons.

There is also a reason he is at Ole Miss. Butch had Dobbs.

Dobbs was a good not great college qb, stop embellishing his abilities to try and prove your point. Are we now labeling OM as a great program? Both coaches almost beat Alabama at Alabama, I am just going by your standard of greatness. Kiffin also turned away two great quarterbacks to sign Bray who was a terrible leader, got blown out by 7-5 Va. Tech in his final game, and set the program back several years for his “great” recruiting 09’ class which had about 4 players left in it while screwing the next coach so close to signing day. Awesome

For the record, had Denarrius Moore not dropped that deep post route in the bowl game, we likely pull that win out.

Are you suggesting Kiffin should have paid Cam the 200k? Im not in love with Kiffin by the way and I am sorry he hurt you so badly. I do believe he is a good coach. I also know he helped ruin Tennessee the way he left us in the middle of the night. Dobbs was a great college quarterback playing for a joke of a coach.

No, he should have kept Tajh Boyd and Bryce Petty committed. I am not hurt by him but clearly you masterbate to his visor as much as you gush over him

What a bizaar day. I hope Norvell and FSU kick the Gators' butts—like I hope we do in Knoxville next year. Kiffin's gonna spice it up in the SEC West for sure. Can't wait to see who Arkansas and Missouri hire. We need to finish strong in recruiting and win our bowl game. Word.

Mississippi made a terrific hire in CLK and the city of Memphis and the state of Mississippi just got a lot harder to recruit for CJP and his staff.

I am not sure you are understanding? You are correct there are great assistant coaches all over the country but they aren’t waiting like adolescent girls by the phone hoping to get a call from Kiffin. I was referring to his “all star” staff notion and the idea that they are reuniting at Ole Miss as well as the notion that he has had an “all star” staff elsewhere. Wouldn’t logic suggest that he would also have one at SC and FAU? Other than his dad, Orgeron, and Cregg following him to SC, who he coached with at Oakland, what great staff has he assembled? He had a few friends he coached with or knew through his dad that has enamored this board. They aren’t coming to Ole Miss and haven’t coached with him in years.

At USC his QB coach was Clay Helton.

I’ll slow it down: he can easily put together a staff of great and proven assistants, aka an all-star staff, regardless of who he has “waiting for him,” and in fact he has done it every single time he’s had a job in a major conference.

Ole Miss...fixin' to make out with the hot babe.

Anyone can disagree with me all they like, however, Lane Kiffin is one of the top 5 offensive minds in college football. I like Jeremy Pruitt but I would love to have Kiffin back at Tennessee in a heartbeat. Would take him tomorrow................by the way , call me an idiot if you like but I do not like Jim Chaney, never have, never will !!!! Regardless what you say, you can carry that to the bank !
