As the OC? Just trying to generate some discussion with these potential coaching hire threads. It's fun for the offseason. Anyways, this would be an interesting turn of events. I think it would look bad on Florida's part if they decided to do this.

I think if anything, Kiffin slithers back to the nfl in some sort of position coaching area. I dont seen any schools wanting to take a chance on him. Certainly not as a head coach and probably not a coordinator either.

Its almost like he's some how imposed a show cause penalty upon himself, just by being himself.

To answer your question maybe he is a good recruiter and I thought he did a good job with Crompton the one year he was here.

He is a pro style coach and I think Fla has been recruiting more for the spread and WM may not be able to take a risk on changing his offense. He needs to win and win a bunch to save his job.

I think it certainly would be a splash hire but I agree. I don't think he really helps WM win immediatly next year either.

You may be right! I remember another former NCAA coach who "Slithered" into a coaching job with the Cowboys. :)

I saw this rumor earlier, but it also said that one Derek Dooley could be in line for that position as well. Remember, it was Muschump that gave DD an endorsement when he turned us down a few years back. If this is true, I would personally donate to UF to help pay DDs salary.

If i was florida i would throw a bag of money at bobby petrino as OC. im sure he would rather be a head coach but damn they could pay him more at florida to be a coordinator than he would ever make at western. They have to stop wasting all the offensive talent in that state and on that team. maybe even orgeron? Who i think got dealt a raw hand by usc. i felt like he earned the job after their turn around.

I don't see Kiffin or his ego coming back to college as a coordinator. Maybe the NFL.

Just make your donation to UT since we are still paying him. At least it would go to us, :)

I bet his coaching stock has really cooled off. I'll be surprised to see him as a HC at a big time school again. I agree he will probably end up in the NFL again as a position coach. His dad will likely pull some strings and call in some favors and he'll get another job he doesn't deserve.

Kiffin as an assistant in the SEC would be a real treat for all the media. I'm all for the comedy.

He could rejoin his father and go to Cowboys. In charge of handing out the Gatorade

Knowing this will never happen.
DD being hired as OC at UF would be the icing on the cake.
I am pretty sure any slappy on this board could take over the defense for the team that weekend and shut them down.

Think everyone in CFB has had their fill of Kiffin and his cocky attitude. Like Al Davis said wherever he goes, it going to be a mess. Just look at what he has done in the last 3 stops he's had..
