This question is for those in the know about our b-ball recruiting. How likely is it that Kiffin has had a major impact on our basketball recruiting classes?

I have read comments from recruits about the great atmosphere in Knoxville and how they loved what they witnessed with the football program.

I realize that Pearl has been working on Pinkston, Harris and the Atlanta kids for quite a while but it just seems to me like Kiffin has given a boost to all areas of UT athletics by making us the "popular" school.

Is this just coincidence or is there something to this?

i think there might be a little something to it, but it's mostly bruce getting his personal life together and focusing more on the program's recruiting.
but yea, i mean look at how florida basketball blew up when urban showed up. i think there is a little something to it.

Ware was in the locker room when the football players changed into the black jerseys. That couldn't have hurt.

I'm sure they both help some, but these kids are deciding which basketball team to play for so at the end of the day... it's just a convenient form of entertainment to consider.

The atmosphere in Knoxville on game day is always electric. The black jerseys made an impression on this kid, he said as much. Kiffin personally, i doubt it.

I agree. I would be ridiculous for these kids to choose a school for any other reason than feeling that the school is a good fit for what they are trying to accomplish.

It just seems like the momentum and the youth appeal that Kiffin and staff are bringing to UT athletics are icing on the cake with recruits. It definitely appears that some are at least taking notice of what Kiffin is doing with the football program and like the atmosphere that it is creating for the entire campus.

I think some kids notice that we are making noise all the way around now (basketball, football, and the lady vols. Kiffin getting us more out there may help a little.

Doubt it!! CBP and his staff were talking to these guys long before CLK's name was ever mentioned around Knoxville.

I think that had more to do with Donovan striking gold with one particular recruiting class.
