I will hold my opinion on next season until she comes up with some real size in the middle... Unless your inside 3 are all fairly tall or you have one (with a backup) really good really tall center type you ant going where we want to be. Just look at the teams in this years final bunch.
Have you looked at Uconn's roster?

Yes it was. Good move by DW to quiet any of the other coaches who may have been spreading false info about TN not happy with Kim's system etc. Recruiting is a tough and ugly business.

That tactic would make no sense, especially since White specifically touted her system as the future of women's 🏀.

And that is why UCLA will give them serious problems. Monster game incoming for Betts.
So you are predicting a UCLA victory? Btw, the point savannahfan thought he or she was making was:

" Unless your inside 3 are all fairly tall or you have one (with a backup) really good really tall center type you ant going where we want to be. Just look at the teams in this years final bunch."

I have predicted that indeed!!! UCLA over Uconn and then UCLA over SC (sorry about being the bearer of bad news but at least you have time to emotionally prepare).

Yes they are ALL fairly tall and dam- good. There are exceptions to ever rule....
You must be looking at a different Uconn team. Uconn has one center on their team, Alfy, who is not very good and averages about 15 min/game. They typically play four of these guards (Paige 6', Fudd 5'11, Chen 5'9, Shade 5'9, Arnold 5'9) along with 6'2 Strong. You stated that it was a requirement that the front three players had to all be tall or that there had to be a dominant center with a very good backup or else a team couldn't go all the way. Uconn is proof that your assessment was not accurate.

Well said. And I don’t know what it’ll take for these posters to come off this notion but it’s really outdated in modern WBB college. Even Ohio State and Texas players during NCAA media conferences referred to the LVs as a tall and athletic team.
Size was not a liability for this team especially when Jillian Hollingshead and Alyssa Latham both came alone at the end of the season to compliment Lazaria Spearman.
Tennessee has two players listed as perimeter players in Deniya Prawl and Lauren Hurst that have size who will play the role Sara Puckett held this season. I think following this McDAAG showcase Coach Caldwell will lock in on post players to pair with Spearman and Latham. If a guard is added they truly want to be a LV and that’s a bonus.
GBO!

Tennessee 234 million so I bet she got a huge raise would expect at least as much as Kellie Harper was making upon leaving.

Strong is a matchup nightmare for every team. She scores from all 3 levels and can bang with girls taller than her. Imo, she will be the reason UConn wins a NC if they win. She's a BALLER !!!

We all read it. The original post is quoted several times for your review. You made a blanket statement about WBB and the four teams in the FF which was shown to be "factually lacking". Once your error was revealed, you made a second comment which, not surprisingly, was also factually wrong. You stated about the Uconn team: "Yes they are ALL fairly tall and dam- good." Slapping a warning sticker at the end does not make your errors go away.

You should probably let it go now.

Which is why Geno was at her high school so much in her last two years that the school joked about giving him an office there. If Geno wasn't there, Jamelle Elliott usually was.

I'm glad we have the coach and resources now that the next HS recruit of that caliber will at least give us a look.
