Kirk Cousins and Jared Goff are kind of in the same position. They have awesome weapons and solid all-around teams but they just are not on that top tier of QB's. They get good stats which is enough to fool some people. They're probably barely above average. Cousins is a $31M cap hit next season (guaranteed) and Goff hasn't even started his $134M contract yet. Goff is still young enough that maybe he'll improve and get into that top tier.

FWIW, Cousins is 31st in QBR and Goff is 26th.

Yeah, he’s definitely not earning his exorbitantly large salary in Minnesota. Of course the Redskins current quarterback situation is not good. Haskins isn’t ready and Keenum is bad. It’s a shame Alex Smith suffered that leg injury.
