that's a cool story (except for the "I was too young to remember" part, which steals a lot of the thunder)my first encounter i have been told, as i was too young to remember, involved him and some guy who was playing for UNC at the time in the student union on the Bloomington campus. i was told the mystery guy was the one who wore the number 23, but i can neither confirm or deny that. i think he was there at that time for some Olympic team function.
lol: I must assume you also subscribe to the lunar landings being actually played out on a Hollywood set syndrome.
he has absolutely let his temper get away from him and he'll be the first to make that clear, but he's won't in the media because of how they've portrayed him over the years. He has often done what he believed best for individuals and those individuals / the media have disagreed with him. Villified him in the process. Miles the moron simply made it all worse and IU is now going to pay the piper. Contrary to what we most think, I'm certain it pains Knight to see IU struggle this way.
The guy's an educator, philanthropist, near dad to many players, etc., but above all, he's a very bright and surprisingly caring guy.
