This has to be freaking Gruden out, having a fanbase spreading BS about him being offered partial ownership in the Browns. Whoever started that and those who continued to spread it, should be made a public spectacle of....at least banned from VN until the coaching hire is offically announced. Same thing with the BS about a 10yr contract? Are you freakin kidding me?

This shiz needs to stop...yesterday. :bash:

It's a rumor thread. Anyone can post pretty much anything they think might be true. It's called a rumor.

I'm mainly referring to all the a-holes who just make shlitz up, and pass it off as a rumor, or pass along ridiculous stuff that some other Joe heard (basically recycled dung from the forums).

Why would it freak him out?

If I were Gruden I'd be trolling the crap outta any fanbase that's this hyped up. I'd be having fun with it. I'd wear an orange tie and throw out little quips about Tennessee players, Rocky Top, and Neyland stadium.

I admit some of this stuff is over-the-top, but I don't deny anyone's right to post it on a rumor thread.

If it wasn't there is no way it would last that long. You just are afraid and unknowledgeable about how these things work.

i'm fortunate to have a source who is very close to this situation. I can't believe it takes this much.

I suggest you watch Kansas 30 for 30 and learn the powers of the community leaders.

Of course it's weird and would freak him out if he knew or cared about the specifics, lets not be naive.

I don't have a problem with people posting crazy rumors, I just have a problem with then all the people who accept it as truth and spread it as if it were real.

Where is Boro Vol and all the "reliable insiders" who said this was a done deal as of a month ago? Hadn't heard much from them lately. Just sayin.

So, what you're saying is, there isn't anything to any of these rumors? How about Hyams and Hubbs both saying there is nothing to it, then the day the news breaks, both of them miraculously reported a meeting, they didn't know about, was cancelled, at the same time? There's legs to some rumors, not all.

If Gruden is reading Volnation I'm freaked out. We all know guys are spreading bs but some of you are worse thinking Gruden is actually hitting the Volnation refresh button while weighing his decision.

You can lay all blame on the reporter out of Memphis for that one. All I can say about this is that I'm so glad this rumor didn't come out of Knoxville. We are clearly a city of higher caliber and have much more class.
