A Knox County judge on Thursday accused federal authorities of a lackadaisical attitude toward turning over potential evidence in a torture slaying and warned that it could cost state prosecutors a wasted trial.

"I am convinced as I sit here today we have not yet seen all the information that's in the possession of federal authorities," Criminal Court Judge Richard Baumgartner said. "I don't understand their attitude."
