I am tired of having nothing to listen to during the day. Basilio is on at a weird hour when I am at lunch. Russell W. Smith is not on in the mornings anymore, and there is nothing after lunch until Hyams. Unless you want to listen to Dave Nathan or Mickey the women's basketball expert.

What happened to Russell? I have the same issue and I heard there was a morning show on 1040 but not sure who it is. I can stand Dave Nathan but they are replacing him with Jim Rome. I'll pass on Jim and Mickey. I really liked the show with Russell W. and Rob Lewis. We need more Hubbs, Lowe, and Lewis.

XM also has a pretty good selection of national sports talk.

I'm an XMer myself. ESPN Radio, ESPNews, Fox Sports Radio, Sporting News Radio, NASCAR, MLB, PGA Tour, ACC, Big 10, Pac 10 . . . and that's just the sports. Satellite radio is a wonderful thing.

So does anyone know about the new lineups and what happened to Russell W. Smith's show?

Russell dubs is going to be somewhere else at some point. He took a vacation after they replaced his show. I am waiting for him to return my email and I will post when I find out.
Russell's show is edgy and hilarious.

We get Jim Rome in Nashville. Yall can have him. The guy is nothing but a blowhard.

I am not a big fan of rome himself, but he does have big name interviews on his show on a daily basis...athletes you don't get to hear from on local shows.

I just thought the whole point of the sports animal was local sports talk. We have always had Tony Bruno or Jim Rome.

jmxvol, definitely let me know what you here. Where ever he lands we will try to give him some pub here and spread the word.

Hey Freak,

I talked to Russell this morning. He answered the phone when I called the Brock, Beno, and Philly show on 1180. He said he might have his new show as early as next week.
