TOP 10
1. Oak Ridge (5-0): The first half of the regular season was a breeze for Oak Ridge, which outscored opponents 221-29 through its first five games.
2. Maryville (5-0): The Rebels haven't really been tested in the first-half of the season, winning by an average of 31 points. They haven't allowed a first-quarter score.
3. Central (5-0): David Gaston, Zach Helton and others combined for 55 points in the first half last week against Bearden, and have a great shot at Maryville tonight.
4. Alcoa (5-1): Aside from a second-game loss to Maryville, the Tornadoes have been nothing short of dominant heading into the thick of their Region 2-2A schedule.
5. Webb (5-0): The Spartans are a force in Division II-AA, and they're more multiple, too. BGA is a big test for a team that's passed every single one.
6. Catholic (5-0): The Irish are in control of Region 2-3A with wins over Livingston Academy and Austin-East, but a win tonight could all but wrap up a region championship.
7. Farragut (4-1): The Admirals' offense caught up with a stellar defensive effort in the second half last week.
8. Carter (5-0): The Hornets have proved they're for real with wins the last two weeks over Pigeon Forge and Morristown East.
9. Sevier County (5-1): The Smoky Bears have been pleasant surprise, and could be even more surprising.
10. Morristown West (5-0): The Trojans were supposed to be the lesser of two Morristown teams this year, but they've proved different.
Others to watch: Halls, Powell, Loudon, Kingston, Coalfield, Austin-East, Fulton, Anderson County, Loudon.
