I know Hayden is a legacy and had a decent year filling in at times, but our RB room isn’t exactly a mess. Personally I’d be surprised if he came here..

Hayden is not going anywhere. He is just playing for a higher NIL in Columbus.

Can anybody enlighten those of us who are clueless about the portal. Before entering the portal, do the players entering the portal usually have contact with other schools or is all contact forbidden between portal entrants and possible destinations until after the decision is made to enter? It seems to me that this is going to require more oversight than recruiting a kid out of high school. If not, rosters can potentially flip annually, and the rich will just get richer!

Dallan Hayden will play a big role against Georgia with Treyveon Henderson being out.... Kid is a real stud and only a true freshmen.

You can’t have “contact” with other schools before entering the portal. That said a lot of schools were in trouble for just that last year including USC who may have been the dirtiest of them all in inducing players to enter portal and transfer to them. Not supposed to happen but it does and will continue to.

Good lord, no. We need corners, LBs, and DL. Not a dozen safeties on the roster. Slaughter, Walker, Turrentine, Turnage, and McDonald are already solid. We need guys to keep Hadden and Burrell off the field
