From what little bit ive read, one horse broke its own neck when it freaked out in the paddock, several others were euthanized after racing incident, including one trainer who has been suspended after several of his horses died.I'm out of the loop on this, but read 7 horses have died? Wtf is going on over there?
Wow. That's horrible. From what little bit ive read, one horse broke its own neck when it freaked out in the paddock, several others were euthanized after racing incident, including one trainer who has been suspended after several of his horses died.
Just my opinion but I think its something stupid that the horse racing communities do, when a horse gets injured if they injury wont let them race theyll just put them down instead of retiring to them to pasture. Because at they point they view the horse as worthless.
Some injuries they just can’t recover from, even to go graze in a pasture. Broken foreleg is a prime example. They probably won’t run again after breaking a rear, but they can certainly get around after healing, if the bone didn’t shatter into splinters. From what little bit ive read, one horse broke its own neck when it freaked out in the paddock, several others were euthanized after racing incident, including one trainer who has been suspended after several of his horses died.
