I find this situation very odd. Brent is one of my good friends. I went to school with him from 6-12th grade. He went to auburn out of high school. He took a med. redshirt and went through some other things and finally moved back home his sophomore year.

Just a couple of weeks ago he was talking about attending a NAIA school here in ky, then all the sudden he calls me and sais that he is going to UT and they are picking him up on scholarship in the fall.

This is the part that needs some further clarification I would imagine. It doesn't sound like a walkon situation.

3 star 5.7 Rivals coming out of hs. Offers from Auburn, Vandy, South Carolina, and Wake Forest. If healthy enough to play, would give us depth. Is he eligible in the fall?

no clue man.

Hubbs can't find out any info on him or get him to answer the phone.

Auburn fans say his career is over.

nobody else knows he exists.

Tuberville also said tight end Brent Slusher has been sidelined with a breathing issue. The sophomore hasn’t practiced since the first day of preseason practice.

“I don’t know what it was,” said Tuberville, gesturing at his upper chest to describe the ailment. “He ran good in the summer, and late in the summer he couldn’t function real good. Hopefully he’ll be back out here soon.”
