Kyle Busch finished second Saturday's Nationwide Series race at Daytona driving like a girl, according to Martin Truex Jr.

Truex was heated after finishing 11th in the Camping World 300 despite challenging for the lead late in the race. A block by Busch as Truex tried to take second place killed his momentum and opportunity to challenge Tony Stewart for the win.

Busch wound up 2nd.

From the NASCAR Scene:

"Kyle drives like a girl," Truex said. "I mean, come on. We're out here racing for fun. We had a hell of a battle. I had a lot of fun racing today with him, and then I had a huge run and he just blocked me. I pretty much knew he was going to do it. I had such a run and had to go."

It sounds like Truex is a fan of the movie "The Sandlot", in which one of the most familiar lines is "You play ball like a girl!".

Busch's comeback wasn't nearly as awesome:

"What else you going to do, man? " Busch said "Shoot, he's pushing me through the tri-oval, wanting to spin me out. I'm sorry I saved it and kept it in front of him. Grow up, bud. What do you want me to do, pull over? Next question."
Kyle's comeback lacked mainly because someone younger than someone else can't tell that other person to grow up. That just doesn't make sense.

Busch is 22 while Truex is 27.

If this turns into a nice rivalry, I can't wait for the short tracks.

With all due respect I don't judge a driver by his ability to quip sound bites, but what he does on the track. So far Busch has been better than Truex in both races.

I did too, but glad he didn't. If he drives like a girl, I would give my driver(s) skirts to wear. If he ever learns a little patience, and realizes the race isn't won until the last lap, he will be tough to beat.

I don't think it will be much of a rivalry. Truex would have to be able to keep up with him first. Gibbs equipment is much stronger than DEI's. I wish drivers would quit crying about being blocked. Do like Tony did when Kurt blocked him in the shootout pratice. Kurt blocked the first time low and Tony backed off, The second time when he went high Tony never let off the gas.:dance2: I'm not saying they should use their cars as wepons, but calling him a crybaby dosen't get the point across as well as the front bumper does.:whistling:

Absolutely -I'm afraid Kyle Busch is way ahead of Truex!

I knw a lot of ppl hate Kyle Busch, but i love the way he drives. If you had to make ur own race team with 3 drivers, who would you go with.

Smoke
Jr.
Kyle Busch

Smoke and Kyle are out of control push it to the edge, and Jr, is kind of like that but in a more controlled way

I give Kyle his due respect. I am not a Fan of his. I think he is reckless and drives like a maniac sometimes, I hear DW say it all the time about Busch that it is either Checkers or Wreckers. When it comes to his driving I think that sums it up. He is still only 22 and sure to get better. You can't argue with his performance this year. Leading the Nextel, 2nd in Nationwide and leading the Truck series, from which I understand he gets paid nothing for driving the truck. He drives it because he likes racing. My biggest pet peeve when it comes to him is the number of accidents he has been in the last few years. He does seem to get into a lot of wrecks. I'm sure he will get better at staying out of accidents as he gets more years experience under his belt.

You have it about right. I liked his comment after he crashed in qualifying, "I ran out of talent". At least he accepted the blame, didn't make excuses. As far as DW, I believe he is approaching excess in his praise. He really likes to hold on to something he says that he thinks is clever i.e. goes 3 wide by himself and my pet peeve, the 3 boogities.
