Has anyone mentioned his name as a potential candidate? I know he didn't have a good year this year but he had a damn good run from 06-10 and even beat Bama in 2009, 31-17 to cap off a 13-0 season. Not saying I'm on board with him, just wondering what everyone's feel is on him.

I remember he was a big name during the Kiffin and Dooley searches. He and Bronco Mendenhall, too. You don't hear much about them this time around.

Yeah, he was one of my favorites the last time around. Beating Bama/Saban in the Sugar Bowl endeared him to me, naturally.

But alas....his stock is down since Utah moved to the PAC-12.

Utah has stuggled bad since the conference shift. Since moving to the Pac12 they have went 8-5 and 5-7. I would think that is why the talk has slowed down. Hard to tell how any smaller school/conference coach will do when he has the backing, recruiting budget, expectations, and fanbase like a UT. It could go either way.
