"My main focus has been making sure my team is really good, but on May 23 I'm gonna drop my top eight. I don't want to spoil it, but there will be a multitude of SEC schools and schools with really good offensive line coaches." "Among the offensive line coaches, definitely Coach (Sam) Pittman (Georgia) and Coach (Bill) Bedenbaugh (Oklahoma). Also, Alabama's offensive line coach (Kyle)Flood is really good, too, and we're building a relationship. I have good relationships with all of those coaches."

"I love Coach Bedenbaugh. He's for real. He's a real funny guy and I know that at all times, I can go to him." "Coach Flood keeps it real. His background is what stands out. His history ... he just came from the Atlanta Falcons, so knowing NFL techniques -- that stands out to me."

"Coach Pittman is really, really cool. Since Day 1, Coach Pittman has always believed in me and my abilities. He's told me and Aki (Ogunbiyi) that we're the only two (linemen) in the country that he really wants. Aki has been recruiting me since, so that's the deal."

"Tennessee has been recruiting me. I've noticed how everyone is recruiting me out there -- the defensive staff, the offensive staff -- everyone is keeping in touch with me and making sure I'm OK."

"Mainly, the one who has been talking to me for LSU has been Coach (James) Cregg. Also, Coach O. The main message is that I'm the centerpiece to a championship team."

i don't think GA really wants the kid. i think they're hoping he commits to TN w/out having to let him down gently. prolly get Cade to do it for them.....in a song.
I meant that I hope he reads that and realizes. Tells his bro "F Georgia too" 😏

I thought he was just pointing out that all of our coaches were recruiting him unlike other schools. Didn't think he was downplaying Friend.

That very well could be the case. I was just saying it seems like we hardly ever see OL recruits talk about how good Friend is. It’s just strange.

Does center require that much of a different skill set of an OT or OG?
@vol4092 is right on it... in short it requires two things 1.) brains (you need to know all the calls and defensive fronts, there’s a lot of them)
2.) depending on what system/scheme you run... zone, you can afford a lighter center that can move in space with above average feet (a very smart pulling guard type with a bit more athleticism. Gap, bit more beef that has an edge to him.

(Of course I’m not a professional so take it for what it’s worth... 💩🤣)

Think of it like this... the farther you get from the ball the better feet you need to have... the closer you get to the ball the more intellect you need.

Committed to Georgia.

Lot of OL talent going to waste on the bench in Athens
Give them a redshirt year and over half of them will be in the two deep or better at some point in the season. Hope we get to that point in 3 more years.

With all the talent in GA seems like they're focusing more on out of state talent. Clemson, Auburn, Alabama and Tennessee getting a lot of the top talent in GA.

UGA's just going for the best player available regardless of where they are, we used to be like that back in the day. I just read where they have 10 players in the 2020 class composite ranked 94 or higher, the rest of the East has 9 total. We'll get back there.
