Fellow Vol fans, it's here...it's finally here. Labor day weekend and thus the beginning of a new college football season is upon us. I urge you to pay these prices, oops, sorry...mind went another direction.:cray: I urge all of you to appreciate and love every moment of this weekend because it will be over in a flash and before we know it so will college football season.

Appreciate...

- Every time you hear a band play on tv after a big play
- Every time you get in the car and hear a radio broadcast of a college football game
- Every car you see with Tennessee Orange
- Every tailgate party you see
- Every time you hear or play Rocky Top
- Every moment of the Vol radio pregame show
- Every chill bump and tear when the Vols run through the T
- Every high five you give or receive after the Vols score a TD

Sit back, enjoy and yes, appreciate every moment of this the greatest weekend of the year!

I will definitely enjoy this weekend but am lamenting the fact we decided at work this will be the last Labor Day we will be closed. It really is not that big a deal since the game is usually on Saturday and I can get that day off if I plan it that way hehe.

At least the last one is the day after our first Sunday game and doesnt spoil my trip upriver. Last year two weddings of family members screwed my Vol Navy trips and I was able to only make 2 games and none by water.

Take some time this weekend and reflect on the true meaning of Labor Day. Remember those who are currently laboring and those who have labored before us.

Same could be said of life in general. Before you know it, an entire lifetime has passed and many loved ones have come and gone. Enjoy the time off (if you are), call up some friends and family and catch up, kick back and enjoy the greatest time of the year - college football season!

I can't post yet but this thread seemed very appropriate for this ... I just lost my father last week to a long illness. He was a great man that loved his Tennessee vols . I look back on all the experiences we shared together but I can tell you that very few matched the smiles and excitement I saw when we were able to go too a game in Knoxville . We all get so busy in life that we forget the small simple things that give such great enjoyment until we have moments of reflection such as this . Take the time , make the time , to enjoy your life , your family , your dad . This is for you DAD ...... GO VOLS!!! :hi:
