One to skip. I can't imagine her being worse than the Black Eyed Peas from a few years ago though.

The only thing I'll give her is she can actually sing very well. When she isn't trying to be as weird as possible she's actually pretty good, like her stuff with Tony Bennett.

But yeah...WTF. Part of the problem is with bands the music mostly is pre-recorded, and only the vocals are live. When the RHCP played during Bruno Mars' halftime a few years ago, they all pretended like they were playing, and they even made fun of it after the fact. So that automaticlly disqualifies probably pretty much every act I would like.

This is absolutely terrible choice for years its been terrible and perfect examples of why they should scrap the whole thing. They become way to political with their choices recently.

The Super Bowl halftime show is one of the most overrated events there are. Except when Janet Jackson performs.

The super bowl is much more of a social event than a football game. Lot more females and casual observers watching than normal. The halftime shows aren't for the actual fans. It's to entertain the people who are there for the party. The shows are terrible, but they aren't designed to entertain football folks.

The halftime show is not really for football fans. It actually gives the fans a break from the TV and the non-fans at the party are probably all about Gaga.

Except you're in the obvious minority on this, based on ratings. If what you said was even close to true, they wouldn't keep doing it. That's not how things work.

The Super Bowl is a social event. It's not the most watched television program every year because that many people actually care about the game. It's basically a holiday at this point.

The only halftime performance I can remember living up to the hype musically (Janet's boob notwithstanding) was Prince. That dude was talent personified. Also memorable because Peyton got a ring.
